I have been enjoying Middle Eastern Fragrances lately and to be honest, some Arabic fragrances may be too much but Rasasi is one of the best Arabian Perfumeries brands based in Dubai offering a wide range of oriental perfumes at a different price point. There is something for everyone in their fragrance line. In this post, I will be talking all about Rasasi’s Oud Al Mubakhar.
Fragrance Packaging – The bottle is a simple (unlike Carolina Herrera‘s Good Girl which is very fancy!) – A heavy glass bottle with gold detail and Arabic text. The sprayer is narrow and gives a small burst. For a strong fragrance like this, a narrow sprayer is perfect! The lid is gold polished and does not have a magnet but it fits snug to the bottle which works just fine as well.
Notes
Top notes – Bergamot, Saffron
Middle notes – Turkish Rose, Violets, Geranium
Base notes – Sandalwood, Tonka Beans, Musk & Patchouli
About the Fragrance – This is a woody oriental spicy fragrance for both men and women. Oud can be really pungent, nasty and animalic. Though there is no Oud listed in the notes, I get a whiff of Oud in the background. However, this is a commercial oud fragrance with the addition of florals, roses, saffron, and is super pleasant to the noses who have sniffed oud before or are familiar with oud fragrances.
This fragrance opens with Saffron notes adding a strong spice touch to it. Rose notes at the heart of the fragrance add freshness to the fragrance and makes it more versatile for both genders. There is a little bit of amber at the back which makes it even more beautiful. Sandalwood adds creaminess to it while Bergamot balances the composition. Though the rose notes are quite strong, this fragrance doesn’t smell like a grandma-type scent.
The fragrance is classified as a unisex shared fragrance. The projection is really good and longevity is fabulous too. This is an easy to wear Oud fragrance and even if you are not into Middle Eastern Fragrances, you may like this one. This is more of a Designer style fragrance which will get you compliments. I see myself wearing this fragrance both day or night. This is one of the best Rasasi fragrances at a lower price range. I got mine for under £20 – absolutely mind-blowing for such amazing fragrance and performance! The blend and its quality at this price are absolutely incredible.
If you’re new to Oriental fragrances, I highly suggest trying Rasasi fragrances as you will be getting really good quality and fabulous performing fragrances without breaking the bank. Oud Al Mubakhar particularly is blended to perfection using high-quality perfume oils. This fragrance is a compliment magnet.
Until next time, Ashh xo

I have never seen Saffron as a top note before and this sounds like a very unique perfume.
I’ve never tried Oriental fragrances but if you recommend them I will give it a try.
