Monthly subscription service (makeup/skincare/magazine/jewellery) has been popular for a while now and we all get excited when each month our package arrives…Don’t we? Today, I am sharing my experience with Lip Monthly which is a monthly subscription service for lip lovers.
Each month they send out 4-5 Full sized (yes only full size!) lip products in their monthly bags from high quality brands around the world. The best and unique part of this subscription service is they have started providing customized service where you will have your own account page and you can choose shades for your products each month…How cool is that!!! I know many monthly subscription companies send out same products to everyone and the shades may not be complementary to your skin tone. So, being able to choose the right shades for your requirement and getting Full Size products each month is what makes this company stand out from the crowd. No wonder, they were featured in BuzzFeed, Mashable, The Washington Post, TIME and USA Today.
They do ship Internationally so even if you are not in the USA, you can subscribe to this service to try products from all over the world. Starting November, they will be having free shipping in the United States of America and charging only $2.99 for shipping to the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Spain. You’re not bound in any contract so this service gives you an option of cancelling anytime which is a plus.
I was kindly sent this *Lip Monthly subscription bag which contained 4 full size lip products – Cargo Cosmetics Essential lip gloss – ‘Sahara’, Hikari Lipstick – ‘Romance’, Be a Bombshell lipstick – ‘Charmed’ and Laritzy lip liner – ‘Deep Orchid’. The bag is a small zip pouch with a leaf print and Lip Monthly logo. It is a good quality pouch which can even be used as an essential travel makeup bag or coin purse :).
- Cargo Cosmetics Essential Lip gloss – Sahara | $16
Cargo Cosmetics is a high quality makeup brand from the USA. I am not a lip gloss person but this is such a stunning neutral shimmery gloss which makes your lips look slightly fuller. Even if you don’t like to use lip gloss all over your lips, you can apply it in just center of your bottom lip to give it more plump look. I think one definitely should have atleast a neutral multi-purpose gloss in their collection. This one is long lasting and can be a great topper for your matte lipsticks. I am impressed with this gloss.
- Hikari Cosmetics lipstick – Romance | $13
Romance is a long lasting nude lipstick by Hikari Cosmetics. This is very comfortable to wear and is a peachy nude for me. Who doesn’t love a neutral nude shade of lipstick in their collection? This comfortable formula makes it easy to wear and will complement most light skin tones.
I like to apply this with my terracotta liner as a base just because i have pigmented lips otherwise this is a beautiful shade. But the customization service gives you the power to choose your own shades so you get most value out of the service.
- Laritzy lip pencil – Deep Orchid | $18
This is one of those shades that complement any skin tone. I am so glad to receive the shade Deep Orchid as it works perfectly with Mac Flat out Fabulous lipstick I have in my collection. This shade makes your face look brighter and i am so happy to have this now.
These incredibly creamy and pigmented lip pencils are infused with plant oils and waxes to moisturize and protect your lips all day. Wear it alone or under lipstick or lip gloss!
These are cruelty free, paraben free, enriched with powerful plant and fruit extracts, made in USA and are gluten free.
- Be a Bombshell lipstick – Charmed | $6
These lipstick is very creamy and has smooth finish. The shade Charmed is a warm toned brown /toast shade which looks absolutely stunning for Fall/Autumn. However, I am not a brown lipstick lover but if you are, this is a good choice.

I’m only subscribed to one and this one isn’t one that I would want to commit to because I don’t really wear a wide range of lip shades but its a great concept and a lovely way to try out lots of different brands xxx
