Finding a perfect nude is like finding a perfect life partner – we all need one and it is so freaking difficult to find THE ONE! However, when you find your perfect nude, I bet that is even better than your real-life partner lol. Jokes apart, getting your shade matched for the perfect nude is the hardest job ever. It is like matching your skin to the right foundation shade or finding that perfect tailored fit for your suit. Once you find it, there’s no looking back! Nude lipsticks have been chic lip staples for many decades. They’re fab for an easy makeup look or for pulling the whole smokey eye look together! When it comes to nudes, one shade doesn’t fit all and that is why it is so important to find ‘your lips but better’ shade for your own skin tone.
Nude Lipsticks for Fair skin tones – Fair skin tones should stay away from light tan shades and instead go for rosy-pink nudes that will add a bit of warmth to pale skin complexions.
Nude Lipsticks for Light skin tones – A balanced mix of beige and pink is the perfect nude lip shade for lighter skin tones.
Bourjois Velvet the Pencil Stick in the shade Nudifull is one to check out for light to medium skin tones.
Nude Lipsticks for Medium Skin tones – Blush-pink tones will compliment natural warm brown undertones of medium skin tones.
Nude Lipsticks for Olive Skin tones – Warm shades like peach or muted coral shade will complement the natural yellow undertones of Olive skintone. You must stay clear from cool or ashy tones.
L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Matte Free The Nudes has a variety of nude shades for every skin tone. I have the shade ‘No Diktat’ which looks stunning against my medium/olive complexion.
Nude Lipstick for Deep Skin tones – Brown-toned plums look absolutely stunning against deeper skin tones. Even the richest of nudes (think muted chocolates) look gorgeous on the richest skin complexions. Check out the shade Cabo in Nyx Soft Matte lipsticks.
Universal shade of Nude or Best Overall Nude Lipstick – NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme – London is a universally flattering beige tone nude that will come as a no surprise to makeup lovers! The soft matte formula gives a velvety matte finish while staying super comfortable on the lips. It is super-affordable and is one of my absolute favorites.
