Hello Beauties!
Today’s post is dedicated to Empties and I will quickly tell you how i felt about them, whether I will repurchase them or not 🙂
- Maybelline Baby skin instant pore eraser Primer | £7.99
I have dry skin but have large pores left from teenage acne. I have tried so many primers and noticed a silicone primer is best to hide my pores and to give me a flawless base. This primer is said to be a dupe for Benefit’s Porefessional primer but i feel Maybelline has more silicone texture than Benefit. I prefer this over all my primers.
Will I repurchase this? Heck Yeah, I have already purchased a new tube and I think i will keep on repurchasing until i find anything better than this.
I have been repurchasing this bb cream for two years because it provides me decent coverage and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Tbh, I have not tried any other bb cream in my life. I used Tinted Moisturiser by Esprit but I did not like that much. Recently, I purchased Bourjois cc cream as I wanted to try something new and I am glad i did that. I find the cc cream better than bb cream just because it feels lighter plus gives a matte finish which is ideal for summer. I do like dewy finish in general but I like to spray my base with hydration mist to fake that glow and it works so well.
My local drugstore is a crap and we hardly have testers or enough shades there. Luckily I got shade 32 Beige Clair and it matched perfectly. I am happy so far with Bourjois cc cream.
Will I repurchase this? Only if I feel like going back to BB creams (may be in winters), We will see 🙂
- Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Pore Refining Toner | £9 for 150ml | £2.99 for 30ml
Sanctuary Spa was a well known spa in Covent Garden London which got shut in 2014 (after 37 years of operation) because the company wanted to concentrate on selling beauty products. The Sanctuary, a favourite among celebrities, was opened by US choreographer Gary Cockerill in 1977 as a present to his ballerina wife.
The Sanctuary, in London’s Covent Garden, was the setting for an orgy scene in the 1978 erotic movie The Stud, starring Miss Collins and based on the novel by her sister Jackie.
This stunning spa has shut because its owner is making more money from selling its branded lotions, oils and scrubs than from pampering the well-heeled. (Info + Pictures from Daily Mail Newspaper)
On to this Toner, this is a light toning spray which didn’t do much to my large pores but it felt refreshing whenever I sprayed it to my pores. I have not seen any major difference. I have found better sprays along the way and I think I would like to try new toners and mists than going back to this one.
Will I repurchase this? No, I don’t think so. I found better options for hydration but nothing for minimizing pores yet.
- Superdrug Vitamin E Facial Serum | £3.99 50ml
This is a very light moisturizing serum that plumps up your skin with hydration. I did not notice any long term benefits but it is great to have for all skin types. It is very light and sinks into skin quickly without being greasy. I sometimes used to apply this as a day moisturizer when I am not heading out. It comes with a pump which is a plus and it is travel friendly due to compact size.
Will I repurchase this? May be but not anytime soon. I have too many skincare products to test at the moment.
- Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer | £4.99Â
I had seen good reviews about this concealer on Youtube so I decided to buy this. First time, it was all dried up when i picked from my local Superdrug. I kept on twisting the pen so the product could come out, but failed! I picked this up again and the product did come this time but it did not sit well under my eyes. The concealer looked quite obvious on my skin even though I picked the shade Natural. Other than that, it creased badly under my eyes.
Will I repurchase this? No !!!
- Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara | £7.99
I was expecting great things from this mascara but the wand was disappointing. It picks way too much product and can sometimes get clumpy due to excess product.
Will I repurchase this? No, there are better mascaras in market.
- Colorbar full finish long wearing lipstick – Rare Truffle | INR 725 (Indian highstreet)
This is a very comfortable velvet matte lipstick and the shade is a gorgeous rusty brown (very similar to Mac Twig, i think). This was my second tube and i have already opened the third one. I have one more shade in this range but I prefer Rare Truffle.
Will I repurchase? I think Yes 🙂
- Lakme Enrich Satins – 129Â | INR 240 (Indian highstreet)
I don’t even remember how many tubes I have gone through of this lipstick and it is so moisturizing. It is one of those Any time Any day pick me up kind of shade for me. Such a pretty pinky brown nude and super comfortable on the lips. For satin formula, it is quite long lasting. At this price, I am sure I can’t find anything better. It is one of my favorites for so many years now. I have found that usually if the formula is good, companies save money on the packaging which makes the lid quite flimsy etc but not with this one. Even at this price tag, the lipstick is sturdy and very travel friendly. This is the only lipstick I buy every time from this brand.
Will I repurchase this? A definite Yes 😀
-  Biona Organic Coconut Raw Virgin Oil | £11.51 for 400 gms (currently at £8.07)
I use this for so many things – from makeup removal to body moisturizer to hair mask to baby massage. This oil is a life saver….Seriously, It is so good! Coconut oil (if used regularly) is also good for fading scars. Usually, weather is so drying here in the UK and so many of us suffer from dry scalp. This oil can be used as hair masque (just warm it up a lil bit and then apply in the roots of your hair, leave it on for 30-45 mins and wash it off with shampoo. You may also use it as an overnight treatment for your hair but keep an old towel under your head while sleeping to avoid ruining your pillowcases).Â
My husband was not into organic coconut oil until he used this one. He always used to tell there isn’t much difference and you can use any regular coconut oil. Haha, this oil gave him relief from scalp issues and now he is like …why haven’t you ordered a backup? Lol 😀
Will I repurchase this? I just placed an order and I will repurchase this again and again!
What are your repurchases and what are the products you swear by? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

I love coconut oil, it works wonders on my hair, I’m definitely going to look at that one to see if it will work even better! I’ve used the Superdrug vitamin E oil and didn’t notice a difference either. I’m huge fan if Bourjois CC cream, Garnier face products don’t agree with my skin -which is annoying because I feel I’d like the BB cream xx

Thanks for dropping by Leanne. Yayy for coconut oil, it is such a great mask for hydration and shine. Its a shame that drugstore doesn’t have great night creams and serums. I love so many masks and cleansers from drugstore though. They really need to up their game in this section. I am glad that I bought Bourjois cc cream and wonder why didn’t i buy it sooner. Garnier bb cream doesn’t work well on my sister’s skin as well. She complains of greasiness when she uses it and she has combo skin while I have dry skin. Thanks again darling for all the support.
Love, Ash x
I didn’t like the Baby Skin but that could be because I have oily skin, and it was too dewy for my liking. I love empties posts, they provide the best reviews. xx
Thanks Latifa <3 I agree about it being too dewy and greasy for oily skin. My sister hates it too and she has oily skin. I have dry skin and this is my fave 🙂
Loads of love, Ash
