We often find our foundation not yellow enough or not pink enough…or its just not the right shade and we just try to adjust by using what we have and not fixing things. Sometimes its not about shade, you might have your perfect shade but not the formula..How amazing would that be if you are able to make your own foundation with your perfect shade and formula?
I have been playing with Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops* | £36 for 15ml for a while now and have tried using these several ways. You can create your ideal foundation or tinted moisturizer by mixing these revolutionary drops of pure pigment with your favorite liquid beauty products.
These pure pigment drops are not designed to be worn alone but instead allow you to transform all of your favorite liquid beauty products into your ideal foundation or tinted moisturizer. Its easy to customize the level of coverage and finish with this product.
Here’s how to customize your products with this:
- For Dewy & Radiant finish: For Dewy finish, add these drops to products like oils, serums, or creams.
- For Matte Finish: For a matte finish, mix with a mattifying primer or lightweight lotion.
- Sheer Coverage: For sheer coverage, just add 1 drop to your chosen product.

Medium Coverage: For medium coverage, add 2 drops of this pigment to your chosen product.

Full Coverage: For full coverage or to conceal some spots use this as a concealer and add 3 Drops of the pigment to your chosen product.

Extra Full Coverage: For extra full coverage like covering tattoos or scars, add 4 drops of this pigment to your chosen product.
Consistency: These drops have thin consistency and that makes them easy to blend with any liquid product.
Shades & Undertones: These drops are available in 24 shades so far and different undertones (Pink, Neutral and Golden). I have shade G50 which is for medium to tan skin with golden undertones. I could do better with G40 which is for medium skin tone. The shade G50 worked better for me after my holiday when I had that tan on my skin. These drops have also helped me adjusting the shades of my other foundations and tinted moisturisers.
Do you really need this? Depends! If you don’t have your perfect foundation yet or if your shade keeps changing, I would definitely recommend trying this as you won’t be disappointed. This is also great if you like to use less layers on your skin so you can just mix it with your moisturiser with spf and your base is done. The coverage will depend upon number of drops you add.

Such a versatile product – would be perfect when you want to do a no-makeup makeup look, just add to moisturiser and go. I like their Illuminating primer!
