My Chanel Beauty collection is very small but whatever I have is carefully picked and very much loved. My luxury purchases are not impulsive in most cases and its important because being in Beauty Industry can be a bit overwhelming at times. The latest addition to my smallest Chanel Family is the Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Lipstick in 34 La Raffinée.
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black lacquered case and opens with one click to reveal a sensual lipstick trimmed in gold for perfect application. The case is push-on to open the lipstick and is perfect for travelling.
Finish & Formula: Rouge Allure Velvet came from the Rouge Allure but this one is luminous matte lip colour. This lipstick is as soft and comfortable as velvet and is also as moisturising as a satiny lipstick, it feels as weightless as a second skin.
Its supple, ultra-fine second-skin texture glides smoothly over the lips for a satiny and perfectly luminous makeup result. Shea butter combined with a canola oil derivative provides softness and comfort.
This lipstick creates another way to wear lipstick. An absolute alternative to shine.
Velvety soft and more comfortable than any matte lipstick before, it adorns lips with deep colours and an intensely luminous matte finish.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is amazing and the lipstick delivers full on colour in just single swipe. This lipstick hides hyper pigmentation on my lips in just one swipe and I do not need a lip liner with this one. The vibrant and dazzling shades in the Rouge Allure range offer intense colour in just one stroke for an incredible smile.
Shade: The lipstick is available in various shades so there is something for everyone. The shade 34 La Raffinée is a glowing mauve shade with warm pink undertones that looks amazing on most skin tones.
Longevity: The lipstick is quite long-wearing and fades evenly after a while without becoming patchy. It lasts through couple of drinks and some snacks. You can definitely increase longevity like all other lipsticks by lining and filling lips with similar shade liner and by setting it with loose powder.
Overall thoughts: I am absolutely impressed by this lipstick and will get it in more shades. I got this one from Notino, these ones ranges from £26.90 on their website depending upon shade you choose. They have other Chanel and high end lipsticks (slightly cheaper than anywhere in the market) too if you fancy checking.
